FAB fridays

Once a month during the summer they have free music in the neighborhood. I learned of this after playgroup last week when someone mentioned it, so mama and I decided to check it out. The weather was perfect and the music was a lot of fun! photo 4

Hiding

Still working on my hiding skills photo-345

Safety

Finally got a new helmet to go with my scooter! photo 1

Hair loss

My hair has never been cut (except for once, a little tiny snippet of bangs). But lately it has been causing me to rub my face over and over, and sort of turned into a habit, even when my hair was pined/tied/hairbanded back. Hair has been falling in my eyes, my ears, and just been driving me nuts. So, Saturday morning, we did it. Walked over to a small barbershop in the neighborhood and got it cut. Mama and papa are a little sad to see it go (actually saved it), but happy that I won't be rubbing my face over and over. IMG_2859 Some of the ways my hair was tied back: photo 1 photo 2 IMG_2845 Before: IMG_3054 IMG_3060 After: IMG_3145 The process, which actually has a little funny story behind it, but too long to type (followed by mama fixing my hair back at home) I did have a fun time at the barbershop!: IMG_3075 IMG_3084 IMG_3096 IMG_3128 IMG_3124 I guess mama is really sad to see my hair go. I still continued to rub my face like I had phantom bangs, but not as much. photo 3

A little nervous

After having the cold weather and not being able to play on the play grounds, I felt a little "rusty" using the jungle gym and slides by myself. Felt more comfortable holding mama's hand. IMG_3005

Botanical garden

Went to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens with my friend Desmond and his friends Flash and Lotus. We had a great time running around the park, touching the tree blossoms, playing around the stick houses (artist Patrick Dougherty), and watching the fishes and turtles. We had a blast! photo 3 photo 4

Fly

There's been lots of (in mama's opinion) large flies lately. Big enough that she could show me parts of the body while the fly continued to clean itself. Here's my impression of a fly. The eyes were my favorite. IMG_2858

My comfy nook

I like reading, relaxing (for 10 seconds), or eating right here at this nook. IMG_2706

Brooklyn Heights Promenade

A lot of serious conversations happen here...dealing with money, a breakup, a body, etc...well, in movies (I hope). IMG_2806

Waffles!

I love making and eating waffles. When we don't have to rush anywhere in the mornings, we make waffles, and I get to help! IMG_2863

Play date with Desmond

Stroll

Took a walk through Park Slope. Found a really pretty tree that dropped petals like snow! IMG_2908

Morning drumming

Drumming even while getting my diapers changed. IMG_2892

Crowning glory

Made crowns at art class. photo-344 Made one for grandma and grandpa too and mailed it to them. Video chatted so that they could show me with their crowns on. IMG_2944

Riding

I insisted that papa ride the cement mixer. I got to ride the bigger one. photo-336

Grocery shopping

This is how we normally do our grocery shopping. Not easy with out a driveway. photo 3

Hiding

I'm great at hiding! photo 3

The doctor is in

Ever since I went to the ER after having a stomach bug (long story), I've been giving regular check ups to people in my family. Today, Snoops was sick. photo 1

Nice weather = dining outside

Since papa came home early, we decided to beat the evening dinner rush and take advantage of this nice weather we've been having. Usually mama cuts up my food, but this time, I decided I wanted my own piece of chicken.

Four silly monkeys...

Jack has been having us over on a weekly bases. Brooklyn is not their permanent home, they'll be going back home (Canada) soon. So it's been nice getting together every week.

I wanted to show Olivia the new construction vehicles I received from Carol-eemo, and she showed me her Sesame Street characters.

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up" - Pablo Picasso

I've been enjoying my weekly art classes, so mama signed me up for another session! Yay!

Playgroup

Just coloring and listening to some music.

After putting toys away and singing a few songs, I always enjoy rolling up the rug.
