Berry Delicious!

While grandma and grandpa were in town, we decided to drive south to a berry farm and pick our own berries. I have to admit, some berries went straight to my mouth!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

We also got to celebrate grandma's birthday while she was here! We didn't get a chance to make a cake, but we picked up a pie and I helped blow out the candle! Soon, I'll be able to blow my own candles...2 of them!

Grandpa is a hero!

Grandma and grandpa came to visit, but before their trip to San Francisco, they were in Hawaii for a ceremony to honor grandpa and others in his troop. Here's a clip from the local Hawaiian news. Apologies for the commercial.

Did you see grandpa?!

Just because you go to Hawaii, doesn't make you a great ukulele player.

Mimicking Mr Goldbug

Okay, so it's not Mr. Goldbug, but he looks like him, only green. Of course, this is to all who know Richard Scarry books.

Dentist

Went to the dentist for the first time! Wasn't too bad, but the assistant made a big mistake...she showed me how to press the button on the water spout, so that's all I wanted to do while the dentist was trying to look inside my mouth. Eventually, I was able to focus for just a second when they gave me these awesome shades. How's my dental hygiene? Great!

Out for a run

Well, at least mama tried. She borrowed Ellyn-eemo's jogging stroller to see how I would like being in one while going for a run. But, I enjoyed exploring instead. Plus, I think this stroller is made for bigger kids.

And finally jogged over to watch the boats at work. The run wasn't that bad, as long as mama allowed me to take a few walking breaks.

A gift for Grandpa

I made a shirt exclusively for Grandpa for father's day (yes, a while back). Here I am painting it. But mama and papa forgot to take a photo of him wearing it the last time he was here. They'll have to remember to take a picture next time.

Another purpose for a coffee filter

I wanted to sit on a coffee filter and thought Snoopy should sit on one too.

Charging the "phone"

Many things turn into a "phone" for me. A piece of paper, a train, remote control, carrot...pretty much anything. But my favorite is the versatility of a plastic egg that can open up like a flip phone and sits perfectly when I want to charge it.

Embracing the sun

We had several occasions of very, VERY nice weather! Doesn't happen consecutively here in San Francisco. But when there's sun and the temp is up, then why not hang around where there's water!

4th of July was spent at Bolinas. The sand was too hot to walk on! But loved being at the beach!

Sam and Anissa invited us over to hang out at their place and the neighborhood pool. Mama stayed home so that she could take a break. I can be hard work at times. Sorry, we didn't get a chance to take pool pictures. But we had a blast at the pool!

Where's Geoff?

A while back Geoff was in town and stayed with us, so it was fun to wake him up every morning and play! I still ask about him almost every day and mama tells me that he went back to NY on a plane. So now, after I ask where he is, I'll tell mama that he's on a plane. I miss Geoff.

Escape artist

For several months I've been sleeping really well. In fact, perfect! But it wasn't always like this, lets rewind...
Mama and papa had to rock me EVERY night and for nap times. They'd carefully put me down in my bed hoping that I'd stay asleep. If not, the rocking would continue. Then, I would wake up once or twice...sometimes several times in the middle of the night for more rocking. There were nights when I didn't want them to let me go, giving them only couple hours asleep. They were exhausted, and it showed! So when mama's back went out and she was pain for over a month, they decided I needed to learn to sleep on my own. On the first night I climbed out of my crib wearing my sleepsac walking like a mummy towards the door, thankfully I didn't get hurt. Mama immediately bought me a tent to keep me from climbing out. So fast forward to today, I enjoy sleeping now. I play with my buddies before and after sleep. Its been the best for all of us!

I also like to play a little game where mama or papa sing a little ditty and place a blanket on the tent, and then hide while I pull the blanket down.

I also enjoy screaming. I hear it's not a good thing to do, but I can't help it!

"...looking so long at these pictures of you..." - Robert Smith, The Cure

Once in a while mama and papa will let me take photos or videos. Usually photos since my videos tend to make them dizzy. Hopefully when I'm more steady with my hands and understand better I'll be able to take more photos and lots of videos!
