It was time for Grandma Lee to go back to Minnesota, and at the same time, Grandma and Grandpa Blue came into town to visit me from North Carolina. It's going to be sad when Grandma Lee leaves, but I'll see her in November when my cousin is born! Now I get to spend some time getting to know Grandma and Grandpa Blue!

Nap Time!

Ahhh, I love a good nap. Today I napped on daddy, he's comfy.

Belly Button

Finally, my umbilical cord fell off! That thing was so irritating. Papa says it looks like bacon. Mama says it looks like a dead bug. If you are really interested in seeing what it looks like, I can have mama email you a photo. I didn't want to post an image of it, cause I thought it was kindof gross looking.

First Sponge Bath

Here's my first sponge bath with Grandma Lee. It wasn't all that bad. I realized it was much nicer being clean.

Burp Face

Yeah, you would think it's irritating too when all you want to do is sleep after eating and someone always has to pat your back after a good meal.

Sith-Sling-Baby

The first week has been full of Mom and Dad trying out all the new baby gear. This sling is supposed to make me think I'm still in my previous pad, minus all of the icky amniotic fluid. Dad thinks it looks like a Sith Robe from "Star Wars".

Visitors

The Williams stopped by today, I hear they have a son too, named Wes. But they didn't bring him for me to see. Hopefully next time I'll be able to meet Wes. Soon, I'll be able to play with him.

30 Days of Miyuk Gook

Mom is currently on day 7 of her 30 days, 3 times a day of Miyuk Gook. A mandatory seaweed soup for all mom's who have just given birth and are breastfeeding. Grandma Lee keeps saying that it's good for mom and for me because it's rich in nutrients. I think it's a little weird, but I don't think I have a say in what I want to eat. I'd like to have an In-N-Out burger.



EDIT: Ahhh Yesss! Just what I asked for...well, at least I get it through milk.

Tarheel – Art Project

Last night, Mom and Dad made prints of my feet so they can always remember how little I once was. Dad did the printing and you can see he pushed a little too hard. (note: to new parents best to try this when your baby is sleeping).

Ready For My Close Up

This morning, Mom was convinced she spotted my first smile! It appears the camera was too slow to catch it!

Boys In Blue

Mom and Dad just took me to meet with Patrolman Carlo of the California Highway Patrol. To get the details on my car seat installation. Dad thought this was going to be completely unnecessary, but ultimately found this to be really informative. These guys know there stuff! I slept through the whole thing.

Grandma Lee

Grandma Lee arrived this past Friday, the same day that I came home from the hospital. She's from Minnesota and speaks mostly Korean. She's incredibly handy and has been helping my parent's a lot. Someday, I hope to speak Korean as well... but, I believe I need to tackle English first.

Rock and Roll

Hello world! Today offically marks my first week outside of the womb. Yep, at 8:07 pm I'll be exactly one week old. It's been a busy week full of meeting relatives, breast feeding, sleeping, and pediatric appointments (they love to prick my foot at every single visit).

Little Houdini

Mom and Dad love to swaddle me every time they put me down. I always find away to wiggle free!
