"Big Train, baby train"

Yes, I pretty much dictate how I want others to play with my toys. For instance, the trains, I like to set them up for you and tell you how to drive them. Today, I wanted mama to drive the "baby train" under the bridge. And I get all the other trains to drive on the track. And don't mess with my order, because I have my own system. I know when some train cars have been switched!

Brooklyn Children's Museum

Mama took me to the Brooklyn Children's Museum on a warm morning. It's a place for imaginary play, a little bit of science, some culture, and music. There are phones in every exhibit that you can pick up and call another exhibition room where another kid can pick up to talk to you! So, of course, I had to try every phone!

Dean, Yoko, and Leo

When papa worked at Dwell, he worked with photographer Dean Kaufman on photo shoots for the magazine. We met up with him and his wife Yoko, and son Leo at the farmer's market. It took a while for both of us to feel comfortable with each other, but soon enough, we were riding firetrucks around the living room floor!

Pratt, parks, coffee breaks, my new neighborhood

Hearing new sounds, smelling new scents, touching new things, seeing new surroundings...this is my new home, Brooklyn.

I like to copy the sculpture above every time we walk by.

Needing to cool down

Our first couple months here in NY were unusually HOT for us, especially being so used to the San Francisco-must wear layers weather. So mama gave me frozen grapes to cool down, and I think Snoopy liked it as well!

Old rail line

The High Line Park was a little too touristy for us, but really pretty anyway. Saw some construction vehicles, found a little acorn, had a snack with mama, and just checked out the scenes below.
P.S. check out the difference in mine and mama's hair color!

Shy

We had brunch with some old childhood friends of mama's. I was too shy to talk to them, maybe part of it was that I was not in my normal environment. I think I knew I wasn't going back to San Francisco anytime soon. Brian, Susan, and Esther, I won't be shy next time I see you!
